Description
In October 1994, villagers of Steadfast Village in the Stann Creek Valley concerned about their potable
water supply and watershed established The Steadfast Tourism and Conservation Association
(STACA). The objectives of STACA are:
to manage and protect the local watershed;
to conserve the Mullins River Basin and
to foster the economic development of local villagers through ecologically
sound, small tourism businesses while promoting conservation consciousness.
