Description:
The Iroko Foundation was established in November 1999 as a charity to support community forestry and
community conservation initiatives that protect Africa's forests, wildlife and forest based
livelihoods.
Iroko is the European partner for a number of African grassroot NGOs. At present, we only work in Cross
River State in Nigeria where we have three NGO partners. Iroko assists these partners
with international networking to raise the profiles of the projects and influence environmental policies
both on a national and an international level.
The Foundation also works hard to strengthen the effectiveness of its partners by giving them support
with
