Description
The Manitoba Forestry Association, established in 1919, is the oldest forest education group operating
in the province. We are a non-profit, registered charity governed by a Board of voluntary
directors.
Our mission is to inform and educate all Manitobans about wise management of trees and forests as a
vital part of the larger ecosystem including their impact on climate change. We want the public to
understand that forests are an integral part of the global ecosystem and the lives of all human beings.
Forests are used, but they must be managed in a sustainable manner to ensure they will remain
healthy and productive today and for future generations.
