Description
a not-for-profit association of specialty and value-added wood product manufacturers, active since 1992,
with a present membership of 144 companies in Atlantic Canada, Quebec, Ontario and
Maine. Member companies aggregate annual sales are in the $750 million range and they employ a total
of approximately 7,000 people. The Group's overall mandate is to create business advantage
for its members. Toward that goal, it promotes strategic supply and marketing partnerships among members,
enabling them to jointly pursue large business opportunities. The Group serves as a linkage
among a wide network of manufacturers, their suppliers and customers, financial companies, R & D
labs, training agencies, transportation companies, and federal and provincial governments.
