Objectives of Society:
To promote the practice of agroforestry
To exchange views and cooperate with forest service, wood-based industries
and others engaged or interested in agroforestry
To provide a forum for agroforestry farmers and others interested in the
subject to deliberate upon matters of common interest and take up the same with government, wood-based
industries and
others concerned with the subject
To organise conferences, lectures, meetings and discussions relating to
agroforestry and allied subjects and to foster public interest in agroforestry
To prepare, produce, publish and circulate books, pamphlets, newsletters,
documents and other publications concerning agroforestry and allied subjects and to adopt different
publicity media to
publicise matters relating to the Society
To establish awards, prizes and other incentives to promote agroforestry
To raise funds through subscription, donation, and other means permissible
under the law to carry out activities to achieve the objectives of the Society
To do all such other things as shall be necessary for the furtherance
and attainment of the above said objectives.
