Description

Mission Statement: To manage the tropical rainforest sustainably, while at the same time improving the livelihood of local community members using participatory methodology.

Organisational Goals: To engage in development activities which improve the lives of the disadvantaged and powerless members of the society

- To advocate for and defend fundamental human rights of women in prison and those awaiting trials

- To encourage gender equity and mass participation in social justice

Program Areas/Project Details:

1.) Community development and environmental education using community theatre and community radio

2.) Community forest initiative - demarcation of community forest, stock inventory of timber/NTFPs and mapping.

3.) Micro-credit - Approximately 123 beneficiaries have benefited so far from a Living Earth Nigeria (LENF) grant, 60% of which were women.

4.) HIV/AIDS and reproductive health mainstreaming
