Description
We are concerned about the future of our trees and woods in Scotland.
Our founder members were concerned that the management of Scotland's trees was being sorely neglected
and decided that they would try to influence the Government and society at large to
improve matters.
Our Society played a prominent part in education, helping to found the Forestry Department within Edinburgh
University, and in the creation of the Forestry Commission in 1919.
