Description
Northwest Ecosystem is dedicated to ecosystem management. Our goal is to enhance sustainability and
diversity. Our approach is to integrate ecological research and analysis with resource
management decisions. Northwest Ecosystem Institute is a not-for-profit organization, formed under the
direction of leading biologists and research scientists with over two decades of resource
management experience in British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest.
Northwest Ecosystem Institute scientists are recognized leaders in their fields. Our multidisciplinary
team provides expertise in freshwater, marine, and terrestrial systems, carrying out innovative work
in ecosystem planning and management, applied research, and natural resource training and education.
Northwest Ecosystem Institute is committed to training and education. Our professionals teach at academic
institutions and have ongoing involvement with co-op and graduate students. We provide
workshops and training to communities and First Nations.
Northwest Ecosystem Institute uses innovative research to explore aquatic and terrestrial resource issues.
