The Knysna and Tsitsikamma Forests of the Garden Route National Park

The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Mr Senzeni Zokwana MP, committed South Africa to the QCC, nominating The Knysna and Tsitsikamma Forests of the Garden Route National Park (36,000ha) as its dedication.
The forests provide an important ecotourism industry that benefit local communities and receive more than 100,000 visitors annually.
Her Majesty The Queen visited the forests on a Royal visit to South Africa in 1947.
